WATCH: Chelsea loanee Levi Colwill scores stoppage time winner for Huddersfield Town

Chelsea Academy’s hopefuls Levi Colwill has only been in Huddersfield Town for about a month, but he’s already a local hero.

In the 94th minute of their game today against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, the 18-year-old center-back scored the winning goal for the guests and made the traveling squad rave in one of those classic limbs everywhere.

Sheffield had equalized just minutes earlier through Billy Sharp, but Colwill’s heads-up play to end Harry Toffolo’s cross ensured Huddersfield scooped all three points for his second win of the young championship season.

Colwill has played every minute of Huddersfield’s five games this season (four in the Championship and one in the League Cup) and the goal was a well-deserved reward for the promising youngster’s great run.

Terriers manager Carlos Corberan also praised the teenager profusely.

“Colwill is a player who is 18 years old. He’s at a good natural level and anyone can see that since he got to the club. That’s why he plays all games in the first 11. I’m really happy that the fans who supported us today were amazing. “

Colwill himself was obviously overjoyed with his first professional goal too.

“I can not explain. I’m so happy! I have to thank the gawker and the team for giving me this chance. I hope I can do more for Huddersfield Town!

“Right before I scored the captain tried me and told me I should have won a header so I figured I had to get it right! Toffs turned and I thought, “This is my chance,” so I went ahead and shouted, “Toffs, sit down!” and he did it, and I scored, and I’m happy! “

“[We had] Conceded at a bad time, but we kept fighting because we knew we needed that result. This is a great result for us and we are thrilled! “
