Nayeon will officially become the first TWICE member to debut solo on June 27. The 1995-born idol will release a solo mini album titled ‘IM NAYEON’.

Nayeon is confirmed to be making a solo debut soon. After 7 years of debut, of course many are curious why JYP Entertainment chose the beautiful idol to be the first member of TWICE to debut solo.

In a survey at Daum Cafe with more than 10,000 participants, 89 percent of respondents said that Nayeon is the first member they think of when it comes to TWICE. She was also included in the list of outstanding idols in Korea in the 2017 and 2018 Gallup annual polls.

Nayeon can be said to have outstanding stage skills and brings positive energy to those around her. In an interview, he once said, “For a long time, I’ve always tried to get rid of feelings like sadness, fatigue as quickly as possible. I think these kinds of emotions are natural, and I tend to think actively.”

Nayeon is also always trying to improve her performance skills. “As long as I’m a singer, I don’t think I’ll be satisfied with my singing or dancing skills. I always feel that way. Every time I practice, I want to get better.”

On the other hand, Nayeon’s desire to become an idol seems very strong even though her mother initially didn’t allow it because she was too young. However he secretly participated in JYP’s 7th Open Audition and passed.

Prior to her official debut, Nayeon had the opportunity to participate in a number of TV commercials and MVs such as Jun K’s “No Love”, GOT7’s “Girls Girls Girls” and miss A’s “Only You”. She also appeared as a cameo in the second episode of the TV series ” Dream High 2″ in 2012.

In 2015, Nayeon participated in the survival show “Sixteen” and won the chance to debut with TWICE. He plays an important role in TWICE because he often fills the opening or chorus of the song.

Beautiful, positive, talented, and hardworking, it’s no surprise that Nayeon was chosen to be the first member to make a solo debut. He is fully capable of succeeding, not only as a member of TWICE but also as a solo artist.
