MILWAUKEE – Allyson Felix, the Olympic track and field champion and advocate of working mothers, will speak at TEMPO’s annual leadership event in Milwaukee this fall.
Felix will be the keynote speaker about her experience as an Olympic athlete, maternal lobbying and childcare, and her experience in the business world launching a line of running shoes called “Saysh”, which are our partners on the Milwaukee Business Journal report.
TEMPO’s 16th Annual Leadership Event will be held November 12th at the Wisconsin Center. The group expects around 1,000 participants.
Felix has won 29 Olympic and world titles in athletics. During this year’s Tokyo Olympics, the New York Times named Felix “a passionate advocate of the past few years for women athletes, for mothers and for gender equality”.
Tempo President and CEO Jennifer Dirks said the group had followed Felix as a speaker ahead of this year’s Olympics and said Felix’s advocacy work was in line with Tempo’s mission.
