A man arrested in Coachella on Saturday was suspected of assaulting and robbing a victim just one day after his arrest in connection with another armed robbery.
Coachella resident, 25, David Soriano was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Saturday by the Coachella Community Action Team on suspicion of robbing a knife stab victim in the Jackson Street and 52 Avenue area on Thursday at 11 a.m., said Sgt.Mariano Matos III from Coachella Sheriff’s Station.
The second robbery is said to have occurred shortly after his release after he was arrested at gunpoint on Wednesday on suspicion of robbery.
“Soriano has been arrested for (suspected) robbery, bailing a crime, swinging a knife, assaulting and intimidating witnesses,” said Matos. “Soriano was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the town of Indio and was denied bail.”
