BTS: When Jungkook collapsed during K-pop group's Chile concert and members panicked, watch

BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have always made sure to bring the best shows to their fans. Since the K-Pop group was founded, they have toured various countries around the world, held concerts and made numerous memories with fans. However, when BTS traveled to Chile as part of their The Wings Tour in 2017, members didn’t expect Jungkook to get sick, let alone collapse.

In the documentary Burn The Stage, BTS guided fans through the happy moments and hardships they were exposed to during the tour. In the second and third episodes of the series, it was revealed that Jungkook was unwell during the concert and collapsed after the show ended.

“I didn’t know I was going to break down like this. It’s the first time this has happened to me. I was very nervous, “said Jungkook in an interview after the concert. “It was too hot and he was overworking. I think that’s why it happened. It wasn’t a mental problem. That’s why I was relieved, ”said RM.

“But we’ve only just started and I’m speaking for the group. So I thought, ‘We just started the show. There is no substitute for Jungkook. What am I doing?’ Seeing myself thinking like that made me pathetic. Like, ‘What am I doing?’ Maybe he can’t even perform. He looked like he’d recovered so I felt relieved. But since I have to speak for us, I find it very difficult when these things happen. Because I’m a kid too, ”he added.

After the concert, BTS members came to dinner together without Jungkook when they confessed they were worried about him. Suga also revealed that he cried in the washroom. However, Jungkook decided to continue despite his health condition as he wasn’t sure when he would see the fans in Chile again.

BTS was scheduled to start their Map of the Soul Tour concert last year. However, due to the pandemic, members had to postpone and eventually cancel the tour. Instead, they hosted online streaming concerts. Last year they hosted two Bang Bang Cons and this year to mark their anniversary, they hosted Samples Sowoozoo 2021.
