The excitement for Marvel’s first Asian superhero film, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is growing louder and this latest update is taking the excitement to new heights.
Just days after rumors began to circulate that GOT7’s Mark Tuan may have been a part of the upcoming superhero movie, BIBI seemed to have given us the answer we’ve all been waiting for. The K-pop star confirmed in her latest Instagram post that she actually worked with Mark Tuan on a soundtrack for the upcoming superhero movie.
Fans began to speculate that the GOT7 rapper could potentially be featured on the ‘Shang-Chi’ soundtrack after he was spotted on the red carpet at the world premiere in Los Angeles. It was later discovered that Mark was even listed as one of the contributors to the soundtrack on the Marvel fan website. Mark’s post from the premiere, which he titled “NGCD”, suggested to fans that this could be the acronym for his song. Reports later confirmed that the song was titled “Never Gonna Come Down” and was among the 13 songs on the playlist.
The reports were finally confirmed after BIBI responded to a fan who asked, “Is it real life that Seori and Bibi will be on the air for a wonder movie ??”
“It’s real life,” she replied.
‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ will star Simu Liu and face his past, which he thought he left behind.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Yuen Wah, Ronny Chieng, Zach Cherry, Dallas Liu, with Michelle Yeoh and Tony Leung.
“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is due to hit theaters on September 3rd.
